"One of the greatest things in human life is the ability to make plans. Even if they never come true - the joy of anticipation is irrevocably yours. That way one can live many more than just one life."

Maria Trapp-The Story of the Trapp Family Singers - Ch. 12 p. 4

Facebook Disclaimer

Disclaimer:

No, I'm not on facebook.

Yes, I realized this makes me technologically behind and socially unacceptable.

Believe me, I've heard it all. I know I'm being personally irresponsible for not accepting "the way it is" and signing up.

I have my reasons. I think they're good. I don't think you're evil, wicked, mean or nasty for being on facebook. I just don't want to join you. I really don't want to get into it. The dead horse has been duly beaten.

However, I do realize this has created a bit of a blogging conundrum. As of a couple weeks ago, I think, this blog is linked to Doug's facebook because he is using an app called "Networked Blogs." So, whenever one of us - mainly me - posts here, it's going to show up on his facebook wall.

Which means, as I've discovered, people are leaving me notes about blog posts on Doug's facebook wall. These people aren't getting answers or responses because I'm not on facebook.  Oops. I'm not even on facebook and it's still managing to give me an opportunity to be rude!

Please note: If you are one of the nice people who left me a comment or question on Doug's wall and never heard back - I'm not ignoring, slighting, rebuffing or shunning you. I'm just not seeing your "comments." Or, if I do hack Doug's account to check them, I'm not going to respond as if I were him!

Doug, of course will still see your comments and encouragements and I may get them forwarded to me. But being only slightly less socially backwards than myself, he is unlikely to comment either. If you make a comment in a question form it will most likely only be answered if you post it in the blog comment section rather than as a facebook comment.

Knowing that our posts are just so important that everyone must want to discuss them, I decided a Facebook Disclaimer was the only appropriate step!
